The Men's team competed in the first-ever cross country running event for Carroll Community College on Friday, August 27, 2019. Ten teams were invited to the "Light Up the Night" meet at Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA. Carroll placed 6th and ahead of the only other two community colleges in the meet - Hagerstown and CCBC Essex. The other teams competing in the meet were NCAA - Division III colleges. The fastest of the Lynx was Taylor Russell with a 5k time of 17:26, placing him 27th overall. Taylor was followed by Jason Cave who finished in 17:50, Dan Saxon in 18:01, Kyle Hinton in 18:11, Riley Bates in 24:46, and Chris Smith finishing in 24:49. The team will be off and running again at the McDaniel Challenge on Friday, September 6.
