Carroll participated in the Mid Atlantic JUCO Invitational on Saturday, April 15th at Howard Community College. The meet included many Region 20 teams such as Prince Georges, Hagerstown, Montgomery, and of course Howard. There were also four-year schools such as Goucher College.

Head Coach Amanda Milewski stated after the meet "Again this week, our athletes demonstrated that their hard work in practice is paying off."

With their only being 13 out of 19 events scored due to weather cancellations, the men's side finished 10 out of 15 teams. The women's side only had 10 of 18 events scored and finished 4 out of 9 teams.

"Almost every athlete scored and if the pole vault, discus, and the 200 meter dash hadn't been cancelled due to weather, all of our athletes would have put points on the board." Milewski continued.

On the women's side, Cameron Klein finished fourth in the javelin with a school-record throw of 19.59 meters, as well as finishing fourth in the shotput, resetting her current school record with a throw of 9.52 meters. Katarina Witham finished 8th in the long jump, resetting her current school record with a jump of 3.77 meters, and Julia Bassett finished 7th in the 100 meters with a time of 16.30.

The men's side saw Theo Beyer win the 5,000 meters with a time of 19:41. Cooper Neal finished 14th in the 100 meters with a season record of 12.19, and Cameron Selmer finished 8th in the 1500 meters with a season record of 4:44, as well as finishing 7th in the 800 with a time of 2:25.

Coach Justin Metzger said, "School and personal records will continue to be set and reset as the athletes continue to improve. Because we are still a growing program and generally don't contend in team scoring, especially at the bigger invitationals, consistent improvement is one of our most important gauges of success."
