The Lynx traveled to Gettysburg College last Saturday to compete in the Mason Dixon Invitational which was unfortunately cut short due to thunderstorms. The meet consisted of eleven teams including McDaniel, Hood, and Messiah.

Cameron Klein impressively finished 2nd in the women's javelin throw with a throw of 22.35 m. The throw was almost a three-meter improvement from last weekend and set a new school best. Madi Harper came in 6th in the same event, throwing the javelin 16.72 m. Cooper Neal placed 4th in the men's pole vault with a height of 3.70 m. All these results were good enough to score points for the Lynx.

"Again this week, Lynx athletes continued to reset school records and score at meets that feature excellent NCAA competition," remarked Coach Amanda Milewski. "This is not only a testament to the hard work they do in practice, but also demonstrates their ability to perform at high level competition."

Theo Beyer finished in 9th place as the first ever entrant in Lynx history in the men's 3,000 meter steeplechase, completing the race and setting a new school record with a time of 12:36.

"After only one practice on the barrier and water jump, Theo Beyer exhibited a lot of guts and determination in his first steeplechase," noted Coach Justin Metzger. "These are traits he shares with the rest of his teammates; all of the athletes are willing to take on a challenge whether at practice or in a meet."

Other notable results include Cameron Klein finishing 16th in the women's shot put with a throw of 9.45 meters and Cameron Selmer finishing 21st in the men's 1500 meters with a time of 4:48.

Full results for the meet can be found here.

The Lynx last meet of the season will be the Blue Jay Tune-Up at Elizabethtown on Saturday, April 29th.
