Amanda Milewski has served as the co-head coach for boys and girls indoor and outdoor track and field at Liberty High School since 2015, overseeing 175 athletes and six assistant coaches. She was directly responsible for creating and executing workout plans for distance athletes.  In 2015, Milewski led the Girls Outdoor Varsity team to a county championship title and was named Girls Outdoor Track Co-Coach of the year by the Carroll County Times.

Milewski’s love of cross-country started in high school in Elkins, West Virginia, where she competed on the boys’ varsity team before a girls’ team was formed.  She went on to become the first female athlete at Franklin & Marshall College to earn All-American honors in two different sports. She is a three-time All-American athlete in track and field, once in the 5,000 meters and twice in the 10,000-meters. Milewski was also an All-American cross-country athlete, helping to lead her college team to an NCAA Division III National Championship title.   

Milewski is a freelance writer/editor and communications consultant.  She is an NFHS-certified cross-country and track and field official and is a member of the Western Maryland Track Officials Association.  

Milewski earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Franklin & Marshall College. She was twice inducted into the Franklin and Marshall Athletic Hall of Fame, first as an individual in 1996 and with the national championship team in 2001. She resides in Eldersburg with her husband Mark and three sons.
