On a perfect morning for running, Carroll’s Men’s Cross Country Team came in 5th place at the Hood College Open run at Utica Park in Frederick. Every member of the team recorded a season’s best for the 8k distance. The top three runners for the Lynx were Dan Saxon (26:46), Jason Cave (27:01), and Taylor Russell (27:02) who placed 8th, 11th, and 12th, respectively. Rounding out the scoring for the Lynx were Kyle Hinton (29:19), Joshua Henderson (32:07), Riley Bates (33:47), and Chris Smith (38:56). Carroll defeated the other Maryland community colleges entered in the race including the 25th nationally-ranked CCBC Essex Knights.
