Carroll Competes at Dickinson

 Long-Short Invitational

The Lynx ran in the Long-Short Invitational on Saturday, competing with their men's team.

The Long-Short Invitational, hosted by Dickinson College on Saturday, featured a number of teams that participated to preview the NCAA Division III national championship course, which Dickinson will host in November. Teams from as far away as Michigan, Ohio, New York, Massachusetts and Rhode Island attended.

Carroll Lynx athletes held their own in the competition. Theo Beyer finished 175th with a time of 33:10. Cole Gladden finished 184th in 44:19.

"The field at Saturday's meet was extremely competitive," explained Coach Justin Metzger. "Many of those teams will go on to qualify for and compete at the national championship meet. The Lynx athletes performed well despite the ramped-up competition and rain," he noted.

Their next meet is on Friday, October 6th where they will take on the Coach Caslin Classic at Goucher College.
