Volleyball Travels to Montgomery for Tri-Match

Carroll suffered two losses in their tri-match on Saturday, losing to Potomac State 3-1 and Montgomery 3-0.

Vs. Potomac State

The Lynx fought hard in the first set, winning a nailbiter 26-24. The next three sets were losses but two of them were lost by four or less, showing how close the match truly was.

Lauren Guariglia threw a block party, posting 10 blocks with 6 block assists. Karley Badorf led the team in multiple stats, putting up 12 kills and 16 digs. Hadley Rowsey-Rossbach set her teammates up for success, tallying 15 assists.

Vs. Montgomery

Carroll lost 3 close sets, 25-22, 25-20, and 25-18.

Karley Badorf and Maria Acaron combined for 14 kills in the loss. Sophia DiMaggio led the team defensively with 13 digs. Abigail Morley had a great game on both ends, totaling 21 assists and 11 digs.

Overall, the team lost some extremely close matches and were competitive throughout against two very established teams. These matches were a good experience for the first year program and should serve them well as the season goes on.
