Lynx Lose a Defensive Battle

Lynx Lose a Defensive Battle

The Lynx men's lacrosse team lost a contest Friday, April 1st to Mercer by a score of 0-12.

When asked about the loss, Head Coach Brady Slater said, "Overall, not a bad effort today. Mercer did a great job putting pressure on our offense."

While it was not the day the offense wanted, the defense had some shining moments. They only let up 5 goals in the second half and kept the groundball battle close, lead by Hunter Shaffer's nine ground ball performance. This game puts Shaffer at 24 ground balls over five games.

Assistant Coach Jim Long also commented on the game, stating, "It was a frustrating day for everyone. Let's hope Sunday will be better."

The Lynx look to get back on course with a road game against Dickinson's club team on Sunday, April 3rd at noon.
