The Lynx men's lacrosse team came up short against regional opponent Anne Arundel on Wednesday, April 6th by a score of 5-22.

The game started off well for the Lynx, with AJ Johnson, Alex Hillis, Dahon Saunders, and Sean O'Connell all contributing offensively to combine for five points. Anne Arundel added six goals in the quarter, leaving the game 5-6 going into the second.

From that point on, the game went less than stellar for the Lynx, who were not able to put up any more points.

After the game, Assistant Coach Jim Long noted, "It was a tough game. Our defense showed moments of good play but not enough to keep the score low."

The defense did have some bright spots despite the score, only allowing one goal off of five man-up opportunities for Anne Arundel. In the fourth quarter, they only let up two goals off of 12 shots, highlighted by five saves from Samuel Mancha.

The offense also had plenty of chances this game, firing off a total of 35 shots with 20 on goal.

Volunteer Assistant Hunter Privette asserted that the game was decided by ground balls, "We had the ball on the ground plenty of times and their offense was able to get it back. Credit to Anne Arundel for playing a tough, scrappy game."

The Lynx travel to Cranford, NJ on Friday, April 8th for a game against the Union County Owls at 3:30 p.m.
