Lynx Travel to Gettysburg

At Saturday's Mason-Dixon Invitational hosted by Gettysburg College, the Lynx men's and women's track and field team put points on the board, with the men's team finishing in 11th place and the women's team tying for ninth.

In the men's competition, freshman Logan Rich continued to make his mark, placing fifth in the javelin with a personal record and school record-setting throw of 40.80 meters (60th in NJCAA). Rich also finished sixth in the discus with another personal record and school record-setting throw of 40.0 meters. 

Freshman Caydon Selmer also set a person record in the long jump with a mark of 4.88 meters, for a 21st place finish. He finished 11th in the triple jump with a mark of 9.50 meters.

On the track, sophomore Theo Beyer finished 12th in the 5,000 meter run in 19:36 ad 14th in the 1,500 meter run in 5:19.

In the women's competition, freshman Carrie Moore tied for second in the high jump with a personal record and school record of 1.47 meters (41st in NJCAA).  Moore also set a person record in the pole vault, with a mark of 2.15 meters (31st in NJCAA) for 15th place.

Freshman Brooke Pribulick had a personal record and school record-setting throw in the discus, finishing fifth with a mark of 32.46 meters (42nd in NJCAA). She also finished 12th in the 200 meter dash in 28.89.

Freshman Kamryn Stefanoski set personal records in all three of her events: 21st in the discus with a throw of 22.59 meters (94th in the NJCAA), 17th in the javelin with a throw of 20.13 meters 73rd in the NJCAA) and 18th in the shot put with a throw of 8.62 meters (88th in NJCAA).

Sophomore Cameron Klein finished ninth in the javelin with a throw of 25.99 meters, 17th in the shot put with a throw of 8.82 meters, and 19th in the discus with a throw of 23.49 meters.

Sophomore Julia Bassett finished 14th in the pole vault with a jump of 2.30 meters.

"The Lynx performed extremely well in a field dominated by strong regional NCAA Division III teams," noted Coach Amanda Milewski. "Our athletes continue to demonstrate that hard work in practice pays off in competition. All have had very strong competitive seasons and we look forward to seeing how they wrap-up the season at our last meet at Elizabethtown College."
