Lynx Finish Strong at Region 20/MD JUCO Championship

At Wednesday's inaugural Region 20 Conference Championship Track and Field Meet, Lynx athletes came away with four individual championship titles and a number of great performances.

First-year Logan Rich won both the discus and the javelin throws, with marks of 36.94 and 48.44 meters, respectively. His javelin throw is a personal best mark and new school record.

Sophomore Cameron Klein won the javelin with a throw of 28.52, a personal best and new school record. Brooke Pribulick won the discus with a throw of 31.91 meters. 

Klein also finished second in both the shot put and the discus with throw of 8.67 and 28.28 meters, respectively.

Pribulick finished third in the javelin with a throw of 20.39 meters.

First-year Kamryn Stefanoski finished third in the shot put with a throw of 8.53 meters, fourth in the javelin with a throw of 15.39 meters and sixth in the discus with a throw of 19.16.

First-year Carrie Moore finished fourth in both the high jump and the pole vault with a jump of 1.40 meters and a vault of 2.00 meters.

Julia Bassett set a personal best record and finished third in the pole vault with a mark of 2.75 meters.

First-year Caydon Selmer finished third in the triple jump with a personal best and new school record mark of 10.00 meters and fourth in the javelin with a throw of 21.40 meters, his first time ever competing in the event.

Sophomore Theo Beyer finished seventh in both the 800 and 1,500 meter runs. He matched his personal best time in the 800 in 2:36 and completed the 1.500 in 5:14.

"This meet is the culmination of months of hard work and the athletes' performances are a testament to that," noted Coach Amanda Milewski. "It is gratifying for them to win conference titles and set personal best marks in the last meet of the season, demonstrating that they not only started the season strong but kept up that momentum all the way through the season," she continued.

Both teams finished in third place.
