At Friday’s Blazer Twilight Invitational hosted by Hood College, two Lynx runners earned medals by finishing in the top 15.

Isabella Pribulick finished in 12th place in the women’s race and completed the 5K course in 26:49 . This was her first meet as a Carroll Lynx and she is the second female cross country athlete in Carroll history.

Cameron Selmer finished in 8th place in the men’s race with a time of 21:03, also for 5K.

Cedric Lowe, completed the course in 30:09, finishing in 17th place.

Coaches Justin Metzger and Amanda Milewski were pleased with the Lynxes’ first outing. “The Blazer Twilight meet was a good venue for our new athletes to get their first college meet—and any nervousness that comes with that—under their belts,” Metzger explained. “As the season goes along, we expect the athletes to continue to improve.”

The teams will compete on Saturday, Sept. 11 at the Shannon Henretty Memorial Invitational, hosted by Stevenson University. The men’s race is at 10 a.m. and the women race at 11:15 a.m.
